Stephen Vincent Charles ('stee ven 'vin cent charlz), n. A left-handed, libra Web Developer of West Indian descent. Originally from St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, The American Paradise. Named after famed poet Stephen Vincent Benet. Stephen's a.k.a. Alphadesiac, as seen on BP.

I'm currently residing in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Things Winston-Salem are known for: Maya Angelou, Wake Forest University, and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. 

I'm a '94 Graduate of Fayetteville State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Visual Art. While there during the Fall of 1991, I crossed the Burning Sands into Epsilon Zeta Chapter, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.

This is my wife and best friend Janeen. Janeen, also a programmer, is my equal and adds value to my life. She has helped me to occasionally tolerate the Lifetime channel. I've also found myself paying exact change for everything, even at drive-through windows. I've become a bit neater as well...not totally, just a bit more...

<click to see her page>To your right is our cat Precious. She is half Siamese, half Angora. I never saw myself as a cat person, but somehow she's managed to win me over. Now that she's declawed, she's pretty low maintenance. Yeah, she's spoiled.

If I could choose what I wanted to be paid to do, I'd either be writing, directing movies or videos, creating comic strips, being a part of a think tank, or inventing things we didn't know we needed. Well, now I am doing what I like for a living, and have started to work on my first Novel...I think have enough life experiences to make an interesting story that someone might put down some spare change to read. I would have liked to have been a cartoonist, but hey, the mortgage has to be paid.
